Study Guides

Opera Lyra Ottawa is thrilled to bring the experience of grand-scale opera to the students of the National Capital Region through our Young People's Opera Matinee.

To facilitate the experieince we will prepare a study guide for the opera being presented each season. Our study guides are designed to help you prepare your students for the opera performance. In addition to being aligned with the Ministry music expectations, many of the lessons reach into the areas of Social Studies and Language Arts. We hope that you will take time to use the information, lessons and listening strategies, and that you and your students will enjoy listening to the accompanying compact disc.
