Macbeth by Verdi March 27, 29, 31 & April 3, 2010
		Referred to as "the Scottish play" because the mention of the name in backstage lore brings bad luck to the production, Macbeth is the story of passion, hatred, treachery, murder, revenge and madness. Three witches announce that Macbeth will become Thane of Cawdor and King of Scotland, a prophesy that Lady Macbeth is determined to realize - even though it will require the death of the current King, the destruction of friends as well as foe, and ultimately leads to her own death and the assassination of Macbeth, King of Scotland.

		Si plusieurs acteurs préfèrent appeler Macbeth « la pièce écossaise », c'est qu'une vieille superstition veut que le seul fait d'en prononcer le titre conduirait à l'échec de sa représentation. Macbeth, c'est un récit de passion, de haine, de trahison, de meurtre, de vengeance et de folie. Trois sorcières prophétisent que Macbeth deviendra duc de Cawdor et roi d'Écosse. Lady Macbeth entend voir se réaliser cette prophétie, peu importe que cela nécessite l'assassinat du roi légitime et la mort d'alliés comme d'ennemis. Cette folle ambition la mène, ainsi que Macbeth, à leur propre perte.
